What is measured
Teams are measured as two-driver systems inside a shared competitive field. ΣSMI™ captures total structural capacity per race; ΔSMI™ captures internal spread (pressure / imbalance). The pair view isolates constructors dynamics that are invisible in isolated driver narratives.
How to read the panels
  • ΣSMI™ (Team Sum): higher = stronger two-driver capacity that weekend.
  • ΔSMI™ (Teammate Lead): near zero = balanced contribution; large magnitude = structural dependence on one driver.
  • Driver Momentum: per-driver contribution to the team system signature that weekend.

This system lens exposes two deterministic properties that directly influence constructors outcomes: capacity (ΣSMI™) and internal spread (ΔSMI™). Capacity identifies whether a team can sustain advantage through two drivers across varying race structures. Spread identifies whether results depend on one driver carrying the field response under pressure.
